Rules for Finals

Qualifying for the Qld State Agility Trial - Agility & Jumping Finals

The Finals will be held on last afternoon of the State Trial commencing not before 2.00pm. All classes of Agility
and Jumping will be conducted as separate heights with the exception of the Open events. All rings will
commence at the same.
The following rules will apply to determine eligibility for the Finals.
Heats 1 & 2 – AD, ADX, ADM, JD, JDX, JDM – A qualifying score and placing in the top 20% (rounded up)
of the height class in either of the 2 heats will automatically give a dog a place in the Finals.
Heats 1 & 2 – ADO & JDO – A qualifying score and top 15 placing in either heat as shown in the table above will
automatically give a dog a place in the Finals.
For each dog that gains an automatic Finals place in more than one Heat, another dog which has not
automatically qualified for the Finals will become eligible for the Finals based on the following criteria:
1. The dog with the highest qualifying place in any heat.
2. If tied, the dog with the most qualifications in the 2 heats.
3. If tied, the dog with the highest qualifying place(s) in the 2 heats.
4. If tied, then the dog with the fastest time (in a qualifying run) relative to an automatic Finals qualifying time.
