Rules for Finals

Qualifying for the Agility & Jumping Finals

 

The Finals will be held on Sunday July 1st, 2018, not before 2.00pm. All classes of Agility and Jumping will be conducted as separate heights with the exception of the Open events.

The table below shows how many dogs will be eligible to progress to the Finals in each of the 2 heats and how many dogs will be elegible to run in each event on Finals Day.

The following rules will apply to determine elegibility for the Finals.

Heats 1 & 2 - A qualifying score and a placing (as shown in above table) in any of the 2 Heats will automatically give a dog a place in the Finals.

For each dog that gains an automatic Finals place in more than one Heat, another dog which has not automatically qualified for the Finals will become elegible for the Finals based on the following criteria:

1. The dog with the highest qualiying place in any heat.

2. If tied, the dog with the most qualifications in the 2 heats.

3. If tied, the dog with the highest qualifying place(s) in the 2 heats.

4. If tied, then the dog with the fastest time (in a qualifying run) relative to an automatic Finals qualifying time.
