Selection Criteria and Procedures
Selection Criteria
- Whilst some assistance may be possible, the responsibility for meeting all competition, travel and accommodation costs and arrangements remain the responsibility of the applicant.
- Conduct, commitment to the sport and attitude towards Judges and fellow competitors will be taken into consideration during the team selection as they will be representing Queensland Agility.
- Those members who wish to be considered for the team must forward a letter of their intention to Bob Mills, 22 Kanandah Court, Thagoona, 4306 by the 1st January 2012. The letter must include Dog’s Owner/Handler and dog’s details
- Once you have confirmed your commitment to compete, you will be sent a list of venues and times that you will be expected to attend.
- All dogs will be judged on courses specially designed for selection purposes. The courses will be run at Masters level.
- The class will be judged under the same rules as the Team Event Final (e.g. each disqualification accrues 50 faults).
- All dogs are eligible to enter.
- Best three results from the five trails will be considered. Should two or more dogs end up on equal points, the fourth trial will be considered. Points system listed below.
- Results will be collated by Sue Ward and Gaille Newton.
- Once you have confirmed you intention to compete, it is expected that you help setup, change heights and dismantle the courses when attending the special class. Failing to do so will be considered a lack of commitment to the sport.
Team Structure
The team will consist of total of five (5) dogs and one (1) reserve.
Top six (6) highest point dogs will be selected as per the table below.

Five (5) dollars per Class

Proceeds
All proceeds from the Selection Class will go toward purchasing uniforms for the team.
Application
State Trial committee will arrange and pay for the entry of the Team.

An extra 5 points will be add to score if a clear round under course standard time.
An extra 5 points will be deducted each time a dog
disqualified.
