SE Qld Agility Club of the Year

SE Qld Agility Club of the Year - Lloyd Ingram Shield

The Qld State Agility Committee (QSAC) will award the Lloyd Ingram Shield to the Winner of the SE Qld Agility Club of the Year for ANKC agility trials held in Zone 1 Qld.

Clubs are responsible for ensuring that their members indicate to which Club their points are to be awarded.  This is done via the K9 Entries system when they create their own and their dog’s profile and when entering trials online.  It must be done for each dog.  A handler does not have to be a financial member of an ANKC club to allocate them their points.

The SE Qld Agility COTY award is for those financial Qld ANKC Affiliate Clubs in Zone 1 who actively promote the sport of Agility by teaching agility classes and are scheduled to hold at least 1 ANKC Agility Trial per calendar year.  Points are gained from dogs based and competing within Zone 1.

The following rules apply -

  1. The dog owner and handler must be financial Dogs Queensland members.

  2. The dog must be a financial ANKC registered dog.

  3. Points are only counted from Zone 1 ANKC Trials.

  4. Results will be taken from Zone 1 trials where K9 Entries were used for the running of the trial, to enable trial results to be verified easily by the committee through K9 Entries. For Trials not run through K9 Entries, trial secretaries are requested to submit a marked catalogue to the QSAC, these results will be uploaded, however it is not the responsibility of the QSAC to chase up these results.

  5. For the 2023 competition year, results will be from Zone 1 trials held from 1 January 2023 up to 31 December 2023 and will be taken from a minimum of 3 up to a maximum of 15 qualifying scores across that period to be eligible.  Thereafter the competition will run for a calendar year.

  6. Only Qualifying runs to count.  Results will be awarded points as follows:
  • First place & Qual                  10 points
  • Second place & Qual               9 points
  • Third place & Qual                   8 points
  • Qualification only                     5 points
  1. Results will be taken from all classes of Agility and Jumping as well as all classes of Games.

  2. The Winning Club will be announced at the Dog Sports Presentation Lunch to be held at Durack on 18 February 2023.
